DELTA®-DRY & LATH Product Wins Product Innovation Award

Dörken Systems Inc. is pleased to announce its product DELTA®-DRY & LATH has been named an Architectural Products Product Innovation Award (PIA) winner.

The PIAs honor innovation in the development and refinement of buildings-related products that run the gamut from cladding systems to interior finishes. Judged by a group of 14 independent industry professionals, the program represents an impartial review of products and presents to readers items their peers have found innovative and worth investigating.

DELTA®-DRY & LATH combines the proven technology of the DELTA®-DRY rainscreen with an innovative fiberglass lath for a complete, one-step moisture control and lath system. By combining these two critical components in one, an entire step is eliminated from the construction process. DELTA®-DRY & LATH completely eliminates the need for a metal lath, providing easier and safer handling for the installer.

“Stucco and manufactured stone buildings with wood-based sheathing present unique challenges when it comes to moisture,” said Marcus Jablonka, Vice President of Operations and Marketing at Dörken Systems Inc. “We are thrilled to be recognized as an innovative manufacturer who has demonstrated leadership and provided unique solutions for the building industry. As the only 2-in-1 rainscreen solution on the market, DELTA®-DRY & LATH combines high quality and safety to ensure proper moisture protection and long-term structural integrity.”

In an effort to highlight architectural-related products truly worth investigating, manufacturers were invited to submit products in several categories, loosely based on the most common CSI categories: concrete/masonry; conveying equipment; finishes and surfaces; furnishings; HVAC; landscaping/miscellaneous exteriors; lighting and electrical; metals; bathroom-related/plumbing; solar and on-site power generation; shading and solar control; thermal/moisture control; windows and openings; and wood.

Jim Crockett, editorial director at Architectural Products magazine, explained of the PIAs, “Building on the success of last year’s program, our ninth edition of the awards proves commercial building manufacturers are committed to, and are working arduously toward, delivering more sustainable products, as well as products that deliver better performance, life, and affordability.”

All of the 2019 PIA winners are showcased in the November/December issue of Architectural Products magazine.
